Dear Joan,
Maine Partners for Cool Communities' Cool Congress will bring together committed citizen activists and municipal leaders from over 50 communities around the state to collaborate and learn from one another's experiences reducing global warming pollution in their local communities.
The Congress will feature national and state speakers,
panel discussions, practical workshops, networking and exchanging ideas, all designed to inspire and educate existing and emerging Cool Teams and community leaders about current technologies in energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable transportation as well as valuable funding sources for community and municipal projects.
The Cool Congress will employ interactive television technology at all three University of Maine sites in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Keynote Speaker: Bill McKibben
