MISSION STATEMENT

The Senior Leadership Coalition is a partnership between older adults and service providers in the towns of York, Eliot, Kittery, the Berwicks, Wells, and Ogunquit.
The overall mission of the SLC is to be a collaborative network which

  • facilitates connections between senior citizens and service providers, and among providers,
  • identifies and assesses needs of older adults,
  • identifies and promotes awareness of existing resources, and
  • develops appropriate resources to address unmet needs.

SLC ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Development and distribution of town-specific basic resource / assistance guides for older
    adults in southern York County;
  • Identification of needs for assistance among isolated older adults, leading to the
    development of volunteer grocery shopping assistance and other supports.

MEETINGS

The Senior Leadership Coalition (SLC) meets on the second Monday of every other month, at 9am. At the meetings, local citizens and professionals share information and work on goals that benefit seniors and their quality of life.
