York County Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Our Mission
CERT Training is designed to prepare you to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors in the event of a catastrophic disaster. Emergency services personnel will not be able to help everyone immediately; we can make a difference by utilizing these teams to help save lives and protect property.
If you are interested in becoming a CERT team volunteer contact 324-1578. A CERT Team member will contact you back. (From Bob Bohlmann, York County EMA Director, October 2006: "Eliot EMA has an active team that has been trained and utilized several times by the community and by the County EMA office. They are well prepared to assist and I am sure would love to have new members join in. That is the only community in your immediate area that has a team at this time. We will be conducting classes during the winter for new teams and new members. Anyone interested should contact the local EMA Director in their community or my office at ema@co.york.me.us 207 324-1578. For more information on the Eliot group you may wish to contact Phil Lytle Eliot EMA Director 439-2030 Butch439@aol.com ")
